HoYoverse has revealed that Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.0, titled “Where Clouds Embrace the Dawn“, will launch on June 6, 2025. This update not only kicks off the game’s Season 2 but also marks its official debut on Xbox. It is also going to celebrate its 1st Anniversary with various rewards.

Season 2 begins with a new region, characters, and gameplay
In this version 2.0 update, you’ll get to embark on a journey to the vibrant Waifei Peninsula, a new district in New Eridu, full of cityscapes, mysteries, and Hollow combat. Its main city, Failume Heights, is rich in culture and resources Porcelume, along with unique spots like teahouses and pawnshops.
Apart from this, you can also manage and upgrade the facilities of your own Temple, and also earn rewards by dispatching Bangboo, completing commissions, and collecting resources from Hollows. That said, I’m excited to cover the secrets of Phaethon and also try new Hollow exploration gameplay.
The Lemnian Hollow may be rich with resources, but its deadly Miasma strengthens your enemies with shields and enhanced abilities. And to tackle this, you’ll see several heavy hitters join the game.
1. Yixuan
Yixuan, an S-Rank Agent with the Auric Ink attribute and Rupture speciality, comes with a new Adrenaline mechanic and two powerful Ultimate forms, with Void Hunter-level prowess. With her, you can bypass enemies’ defense, dealing damage based on her Sheer Force, which scales with your ATK and HP.
2. Ju Fufu
Backing her up is Ju Fufu, another S-Rank Fire Stun Agent, who fights using her weapon, Hu Wei, which can build up Might and Momentum to deal combined damage. With her Chain Attack, you can enhance your team’s crit dmg, chain attack, and ultimate power with the Tiger’s Roar effect.
3. A-Rank Agent and S-Rank Bangboo
Along with the S-Rank Agents, Pan Yinhu, an A-Rank Physical Defense Agent with solid tanking abilities, is an adorable panda who loves cooking. And then, you’ll soon meet Belion, the new S-Rank Bangboo. Oh, and for Version 2.0 banners, Astra Yao and Caesar will also return for the action.
New events and quality-of-life updates
Another reason you should look forward to this new update is that it also expands Hollow Zero: Lost Void with new commissions. Moreover, you can also equip multiple gears per Agent, which sounds fun. On the quality-of-life side, a new 3D map, enhanced navigation features, and Fissure Beacons will be added.
- Gravitational Attraction: In this event, you can relax at Lumina Square’s cinema, watch in-game movies with various characters, and also earn exclusive rewards like the A-Rank W-Engine Reel Projector.
- Soul of Steel: Golden Bond: You can pilot fast-paced mechs into the Hollows and enjoy new challenges and rewards.
Anniversary Celebration
To celebrate the game’s 1st Anniversary, HoYoverse is giving away a variety of rewards. You can choose one S-Rank Agent and S-Rank W-Engine for free. You’ll also get 1,600 Polychromes, 20 Encrypted Master Tapes, 10 Boopons, exclusive outfits, avatars, and a title.
And if you’re a new player, you’ve nothing to worry about; if you’ve finished Season 1 Chapter 2’s interlude, you can jump straight into the Season 2 storyline and enjoy the action.
