Tencent Games has announced that the highly anticipated first-person hero shooter title, Valorant Mobile, is set to launch on both Android and iOS in China on August 19, 2025. Developed by Tencent Games’ subsidiary Lightspeed Studios, the game previously held a closed beta test in the region on June 12th, 2025.
Prepare to master the iconic Agents and their abilities to dominate the battlefield
The acclaimed tactical hero shooter from Riot Games was first revealed to be in mobile development back in May 2021. This was officially confirmed the next month, the same year, and following that, we have had closed betas, gameplay showcases, and teasers.

If you’re still unfamiliar with it, Valorant is a 5v5 character-based competitive shooter where each character, called an Agent, comes with unique hypernatural powers. It first launched on PC in 2020 and perfectly blends ability use with solid gunplay, drawing inspiration from fan-favourite Counter-Strike.
Choose your role, pick your weapons, and enjoy the chaos
You can look forward to using an arsenal of 19 unique guns and melee weapons, along with the characters divided into four roles: Duelist, Initiator, Sentinel, and Controller. With this, you can battle against other players in various game modes across diverse maps like Bind, Ascent, and more.
As someone who has spent countless hours grinding up to Diamond rank, I’m excited for this one. I still remember watching Twitch Streams just to get a PC early access, and I can’t believe that soon we’ll be able to experience the same thrill and rage moments of Valorant on mobile.
Valorant Mobile is set to launch in China on both Android and iOS on August 19, 2025. You can now pre-register for the game via the official website or the App Store for iOS devices. I do hope they release the global version soon, which is expected to be released soon after. Stay tuned for more updates!
