The Battle Cats x Sonic the Hedgehog collaboration brings themed events and rewards

The Battle Cats, the popular tower defense game from PONOS, has announced a time-limited collaboration with Sonic the Hedgehog and friends to celebrate ten years of wacky and wonderful feline soldiers invading the screens and hearts of over 100 million players worldwide.

This ongoing event will run from August 4th to August 18th, 2025, featuring nostalgic and classic maps from the Sonic games, alongside a new rare Capsule gacha featuring Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Shadow as Uber Rare units, as well as a few catified (yes, it’s a word) counterparts.

From Green Hill Zone to Catclaw Dojo

This purrfect collaboration between The Battle Cats and Sonic the Hedgehog and friends features five new maps. Up first, the iconic Green Hill Zone, Chemical Plant Zone, and Sky Sanctuary, each found through the Legend Stages, complete with 5 Limited Stages each to play through, where you face off against Sonic series characters as strong enemies.

Or, take on Radical Highway to earn huge rewards for completing all of its 20 Gauntlet Stages, also found through Legend Stages. Finally, participate in the Arena of Honor leaderboard stage via the Catclaw Dojo in Sonic Battle!

Make Way for Sonic, the new Cat in Town

Try your luck with the Sonic Collab Capsules to unlock limited-time units such as Sonic himself, who evolves into Sonic & Cat, Tails, who evolves into Tails & Cat, Knuckles, who evolves into Knuckles & Cat, and finally, Shadow, who, you guessed it, evolves into Shadow & Cat.

Alongside those Uber Rares, you can also uncover the Rare catified versions of Sonic and Shadow, appearing as Sonic Cat and Shadow Cat respectively, which evolve into Sonic Cat CC and Shadow Cat CC.

But that’s not all! Tails also receives a catified counterpart, namely Tails Cat, who appears as a special daily login stamp reward on the fifth day and evolves into Tails Cat CC.
