WEBZEN has announced a closed beta test (CBT) for their anime-style RPG, TERBIS, on Android, iOS, and PC in Japan this June. Developed by Webzen Nova, a subsidiary of WEBZEN, the game was first showcased at G-Star 2023 and later featured at Comic Market 104 in August 2024.

Prepare for an otherworldly adventure in a stunning anime-style world

TERBIS is an anime-style collectible RPG that features stunning 2D visuals and animations. In this game, you can choose from various classes and collect a variety of charming characters, all while exploring an otherworldly story to save a dying world.

From what I’ve seen in PVs and character reveals on X (formerly known as Twitter), they look cool, and I hope it will be the same in-game. I’m especially excited to collect characters like Raizel, Carib, Pandora, to name a few, who have intrigued me already.

That said, not much about the game is revealed yet. Some early gameplay clips on YouTube are not well-received by gacha fans. One Reddit user commented, “The anime PV looks amazing but turns out it looks like a worse Epic Seven.” We can only wait to see what the devs have in store for us.

How to join the upcoming TERBIS closed beta test

The good news is that TERBIS is now gearing up to kick off a closed beta test (CBT) for Android, iOS, and PC in Japan. If you’re signing up for the mobile versions, you’ll also get access to the PC version. The beta is scheduled for June, and recruitment is now live until further notice.

You can apply for the test by following these steps:

  • First, head over to the game’s official website.
  • Then, scroll down to the CBT recruitment section.
  • Now tap on Apply for CBT.
  • Next, select either Android or iOS and enter your device’s name.
  • Next, add your email address.
  • Complete the survey and tap on Apply, and you’re done.

If you’re applying for iOS, add an email that can receive emails, and the beta will also be available with Apple’s TestFlight app. And, if you’re an Android user, just provide your Gmail account linked to the Google Play Store. Plus, if applications exceed the limit, you’ll be selected via lottery.
