Resident Evil Survival Unit, a new mobile game jointly developed by Aniplex, JOYCITY, and CAPCOM, is now available for pre-registration on Android and iOS. Based on the iconic Resident Evil franchise, the game will be a survival horror experience mixed with strategy, scheduled to launch this year.
Resident Evil Survival Unit aims to offer a thrilling experience designed for mobile players
Unlike the classic survival horror gameplay of the main Resident Evil series, Survival Unit introduces a mobile-first, strategy-focused experience set in a parallel universe. The story begins in a mysterious hospital where the protagonist, a test subject of the Umbrella Corporation, attempts to escape and survive.
You will build and manage a detailed mansion base, prepare for real-time defense missions, and engage in tactical battles using characters like Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield, and Jill Valentine. Each of these characters has unique skills.
So, you will need to craft plans, purchase items from the iconic Weapons Merchant, and prepare for real-time defense missions against deadly creatures. Adding to the artistic flair of the game, legendary illustrator Yoshitaka Amano has designed an original creature named Mortem.
The game was first announced at the Anime Expo 2025. Resident Evil is not new to mobile devices, although the majority of the fun was with the iOS users, as they received Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 3 remake, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 7, and Resident Evil Village on the handheld screens.
Pre-registration campaign for Resident Evil Survival Unit is now underway
A Pre-registration Milestone Event is now live, offering rewards to all players as pre-registration numbers climb. Starting from 100K, it will unlock items like Advanced Flare Guns, Speedups, Gems, and even a 7-day Base Skin. At 1 million, you will receive the Special Flare Gun.
