- The much-awaited Ranked Arena mode is coming back on 24th July.
PUBG Mobile recently dropped its official 3.9 version update in the game. In this version, Tencent Games has added several new and interesting features. One of those features is the IP collaboration with the famous science-fiction film series, Transformers. With this collaboration, we got a new Classic Themed Mode: Transformers. This mode offers us many Transformers-related items and characters.
Apart from the classic-themed mode, we will also get many in-game tweaks, new weapons, classic mode enhancements, and other things. In this article, we will discuss those new additions and explain the features so that you can dominate the virtual world of PUBG Mobile with ease.
Transformers have arrived to rule the battlegrounds
The light of the Allspark pierces the cosmos, drawing together the forces of good and evil. This single line is enough to bring out the main essence of the Transformers-themed mode in PUBG Mobile’s 3.9 version update. The Autobots and the Decepticons are here to dominate the various terrains of Erangel, Sanhok, and Livik.

This mode offers us the chance to become either Optimus Prime or Megatron. We can use their powers, use their moves, or even transform them into vehicles and ride them. Now, it’s time to discuss this new mode in detail.
How to Summon the Transformers using the Spacebridge Beacon in PUBG Mobile
This new item is one of the most important in-game items right now. This beacon spawns randomly on the map. You can find it almost everywhere. Some time into the match, the color of the sky will change, and you will receive a notification that a connection has been established with Cybertron.
After that, you will be able to use the Spacebridge Beacon to open the Cybertron Spacebridge. This Spacebridge will randomly summon Optimus Prime, Megatron, or Energon Supply Crates. You can also get Cybertronian Supply Crates here.
Fight alongside Optimus Prime or Megatron in the PUBG Mobile Transformers mode
With this update, Optimus Prime and his arch-rival Megatron will arrive in Erangel. They will both have the ability to convert between vehicle and robot modes. In vehicle form, they both become sturdy vehicles, as shown in the movie, that can accommodate four players comfortably.
These vehicles are different from normal vehicles and can provide ample protection and can be repeatedly repaired. Just keep an eye on the health bar. Now, let’s talk about the special powers they possess while they are in the vehicle and robot mode. Megatron becomes a futuristic tank that can also fire a charged fusion blast.

When Optimus Prime is in its robot form, it can swing its Energon Axe to deliver multiple power attacks, followed by a forward thrust. It can deal a massive blow to enemies within range. Meanwhile, Megatron, in its robot form, wields a fusion cannon that can shoot five shells consecutively for ranged attacks.
You can upgrade both Optimus Prime and Megatron with Energon Cubes found on the battlefield to unlock a more powerful special skill. Optimus Prime’s upgraded skill is a high-speed dash that quickly closes the distance before smashing his target with sheer force. You can use this skill to slow down Megatron, which allows you to follow up with more melee attacks.

When Optimus Prime and Megatron encounter each other, a duel zone called the Arch-rival Showdown will form around them. Only the sole survivor will come out of that zone. Megatron’s upgraded skill decimates targets with a charged fusion blast. The best part of this skill is that it deals more damage the longer it charges.
Consecutive firing also pushes Megatron back to a safer distance where the enemy cannot hit you easily. Similarly, hitting Optimus Prime slows him down, so plan your offensive strategies carefully. Keep in mind that the fusion blast explosion creates a spherical detection zone that detects the number of players and vehicles within the blast radius, providing crucial information.
Transformer Token lets you start the Transformers Trial in the Trial Match system
The popular Trial Match system is finally coming back in PUBG Mobile. The Transformer Token will start the Trial Match in a normal classic match. You can activate the legendary trial and finish the missions to complete the challenge successfully. It will trigger a stunning results screen performance, and you and your squad will also receive various in-game rewards.
Visit the Cosmic Meteorite Checkpoint to interact with the robots

One of the most engaging locations in this new mode is the Cosmic Meteorite Checkpoint. Here, you can teleport to the top of a meteorite at the edge of the universe, where you can take photos with Optimus Prime and Megatron. This new feature sounds pretty awesome. After checking in, you will receive a decent supply pack.
Check out the Neon Outpost as the event’s new hot drop location
The main event location or the hot-drop of this new PUBG Mobile Transformers Mode is the Neon Outpost. It is a dynamic cyberpunk-themed outpost glowing with vibrant neon lights and futuristic energy.
This new themed area, available on Erangel, Sanhok, and Livik maps, features three key zones: a boxing ring that unlocks after a countdown for intense battles; a black market with futuristic shops, including a burger joint serving the mysterious Interstellar burger, consuming which you can gain energy; and an energy hub where players can ride robots accross the battlegrounds.

At the core of Neon Outpost is the Astro Den, a melee arena that you can reach via special portals in the Galactic Outpost. We can use only special weapons and melee weapons in close-quarter battles and instantly respawn above the outpost without losing a respawn chance. Remember that the last team standing when time runs out wins great rewards.
Use the Cosmic Hoverboard to traverse quickly

The event’s exclusive vehicle for the PUBG Mobile Transformers mode is the Cosmic Hoverboard. You can use it to travel across the map quickly. You can find this vehicle in the Neon Outpost or any loot-enriched location.
Classic Mode Enhancements in PUBG Mobile
The 3.9 version update has introduced several new Classic Mode enhancements. Those are:
New weapon: ASM Abakan

In this version update, we got a brand new Assault Rifle (AR)- the ASM Abakan. It uses 5.56mm ammunition and has three firing modes: Full-auto, Burst, and single-shot. One of the great features of this weapon is that its first two shots are highly precise and fired in quick succession. So, you can use it as a great burst weapon.
You can find DSR in the air-drops
The availability of the DSR Sniper Rifle (SR) has increased a lot in this update. From now on, there is a chance to get it from air drops.
Two-wheeler drifting
From this update, you can now drift your motorcycles and bicycles. You can also fire while drifting.
Ranked Arena mode is coming back
After a very long time, the Ranked Arena mode is finally coming back. It will he available from the 24th of July to the 21st of September. To play this mode, go to the Ranked Arena mode from the lobby. This mode features its tiers, mode selection, and limited season rewards.

We will also see a new weapon addition for the Gun-Game matches in this update. A new FPP/TPP toggle switch will also come in the regular Arena mode matches. In Team Deathmatch (TDM), Domination, and Arena Training Modes, you will no longer drop your weapons or ammo after getting knocked down.
Final Thoughts
PUBG Mobile never fails to amaze us with new additions and collaborations. This is also the same. The much-awaited collaboration with the Transformers will surely add a great essence to the game, where a completely new player base will play the game just to have the thrilling experience of the Autobots and Decepticons in the PUBG Mobile Transformers Mode.
With new weapons like ASM Abakan and the comeback of Ranked Arena, I am expecting this 3.9 update to be a very successful one. Once again, this mode is a must-try for both veterans and newcomers. Read our other articles:
