The Pokémon Company has announced that Empoleon, Dhelmise, and Vaporeon will be joining the growing roster of their popular MOBA, Pokémon UNITE. Empoleon will be the first to arrive on September 19, while the other two are planned to join later.
Empoleon arrives next month, followed by two new water-type Pokémon
Pokémon UNITE is expanding its fray with new water-type Pokémon, as Empoleon is set to make its debut on September 19, letting you try out its cool skills in intense battles. Dhelmise and Vaporeon are going to follow after, although no specific dates have been announced yet.
The game gave an early look at these additions to fans during the 2025 Pokémon World Championships. I took some time off from the game, but it looks like I’ll be trying again since I’m very excited to play as Empoleon and Vaporeon, while the community seems happy to welcome all three.
Moreover, starting September 4, Groudon will appear in the Theia Sky Ruins as a powerful neutral boss. By defeating Groudon, you’ll gain a massive attack boost and faster goal scoring, making it a valuable objective. Plus, if you knock out a Pokémon carrying Groudon’s effect, the effect will transfer to you.
