The Pokémon Company has announced that its upcoming expansion, ‘Wisdom of Sea and Sky’ for Pokémon TCG Pocket, is set to launch on July 30. This update will introduce beloved Pokémon like Lugia and Ho-Oh from the Johto region, along with significant trade feature updates.
Explore the Johto region, with over 200 stunning new Pokémon coming
In the Wisdom of Sea and Sky expansion, you’ll encounter Pokémon from the Johto region, first introduced in Pokémon Gold and Silver. Legendary Pokémon Lugia and Ho-Oh debut alongside beloved first-partner Pokémon Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile, as well as famous Trainers from the region.
You’ll get to experiment with new strategies, thanks to the addition of Pokémon with attacks that don’t require Energy. That said, I’m excited for this expansion, especially because it will feature over 200 new cards to collect, including a variety of new Pokémon ex and stunning cards.
The expansive will offer a revamped Trading System with Wishlists and Shinedust
The update will also revamp the trade feature to make card exchanges better. You’ll be able to add up to 20 cards to your wishlist and highlight three favorites to display on your profile. This makes it easier for you to share what cards you’re looking for while trading with others.
Additionally, Trade Tokens are being replaced with Shinedust, which you can get via missions, achievements, or duplicate cards. Your existing tokens can be redeemed for pack hourglasses and shinedust in the in-game shop. However, card trading via the old system won’t be possible after July 30.
