Based on your sleep type and quality, different Pokémon appear with unique, collectible sleep poses. Launched in 2023, this unique blend of health and entertainment has now officially received a Guinness World Record during the FUN SLEEP FEST: Wake Up with Excitement event, held in Tokyo.

As per Japan Anime News, Guinness officials were present to award the certificate for “most downloaded gameified sleep app” to The Pokémon Company, and Takato Utsunomiya, the COO of the company, accepted the certificate and thanked everyone for their continuous support.

He also promised, “We will continue striving to turn sleep into an enjoyable part of people’s lives.” It’s impressive to note that as of May 15, the app has tracked over 1 billion sleep sessions, which also shows just how widely it is used and loved by fans. I’m even planning to use it now.

Pokémon Sleep’s 2nd anniversary celebration in Tokyo featured several guests, like Hayato Sano from M!LK, actress Mirai Shida, and comedian Hiccorohee, who took part in themed sleep challenges which showcased the app’s interactive features.
