Level Infinite’s Rust Mobile begins pre-registration bringing open-world survival gameplay

Level Infinite, a subsidiary of Tencent Games, has opened pre-registration for the action survival title, Rust Mobile, for both Android and iOS. With rumors about development in January 2024, Facepunch Studios acknowledged it in late 2024, followed by a 7-day Alpha test and a CBT.

Get ready to build, raid, and survive in a ruthless sandbox

Rust Mobile, the long-awaited action survival title based on the hit PC title, is coming to mobile. Officially licensed by Facepunch Studios, it drops you on a deserted island where you’ve to survive by gathering resources, building shelter, and facing off against wildlife, other players, and the harsh environment.

You can look forward to the raw, open-world experience fans love, complete with brutal PvP, base building, and sandbox gameplay. Here, you begin with absolutely nothing, but as you explore and progress, you can craft weapons and gear to increase your survival chances.

A full-fledged Rust experience with permadeath, biomes, and raids

I had a great time playing Rust on PC during the lockdown, so I’m excited to experience it again on mobile. You can immerse yourself in exploring the rugged landscapes, paired with a dynamic day-night cycle and weather system. And I must say, building your base in the wild feels fun.

The mobile version looks packed with features like region-based biomes, permadeath, raiding, crafting, and more. And if you’re curious, a public demo will be available during Gamescom 2025, happening from August 20 to 24 in Cologne. So, if you’re nearby, you can try it out.

Rust Mobile is now open for pre-registration on both Android and iOS. You can now pre-register for the game via the game’s official website with your email address. That said, the official launch date is yet to be announced. Stay tuned for more updates.
