HoYoverse is gearing up to release Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.3 update, titled The Fall at Dawn’s Rise, on 21st May 2025. This update brings an abundance of new limited events along with bringing new maps and epic story expansions to the world of Amphoreus, as well as introducing new and playable 5-star characters such as Cipher and Hyacine!
Flame-Chase Finale and the Sky Titan Boss
It’s finally happening, the epic conclusion to the Flame-Chase Journey is landing in Version 3.3, and I’m both excited and terrified! We’re teaming up with the Chrysos Heirs again, and this time, the enemy is none other than Aquila, the Sky Titan. Ancient texts say this thing is a giant, hundred-eyed bird with control over dawn and dusk — so yeah, not your average boss battle.

This is the culmination of everything the Flame-Chase arc has been building toward. The Coreflames of Death and Reason have already been reclaimed, so what’s next is a final campaign with massive stakes. And of course, there’s a new Echo of War called Glance of Twilight, which is bound to bring spicy challenges and sweet loot.
New Playable Characters in HSR Version 3.3
Hyacine
Hyacine is a 5-Star Wind Unit following the Path of Remembrance. Her kit revolves around healing, buffing max HP, and summoning this adorable but deadly little helper, Little Ica.

Not only does Little Ica heal and attack, but it even reacts to the damage your allies take. If you like keeping your whole team alive while also dishing out damage over time, she might be your new main support.
Cipher

Cipher is a 5-Star Quantum Unit following the Path of Nihility. Her playstyle is so tactical as she marks the enemy with the highest max HP, tracks all damage they take, and then unleashes it back in one brutal burst. Cipher can also follow up when allies attack the marked target, making her super synergistic. She’s got that trickster energy, and I love it.
Rerun Banners
For those who missed them, The Herta is coming back in the first half, while Aglaea returns in the second half.
New Events: Spheroid Racing and Demon King Baseball
This patch isn’t all doom and sky monsters; we’ve got some seriously fun new events too. The Penacony Speed Cup Spheroid Racing Tournament is coming, and I cannot wait to see what kind of chaos it brings. It’s a space-themed racing event, and I’m hoping it scratches that Mario Kart itch in the best way possible.

And then there’s Legend of the Galactic Baseballer: Demon King. Yes, it’s a real event name, and yes, I’m here for the raccoon with a baseball bat storyline. They’ve made a bunch of improvements based on feedback from the beta, so the full version should be even better!
Final Thoughts
Outside of the Flame-Chase madness, the plot is getting even deeper. Madam Herta’s data spirit made it to the Vortex of Genesis, and now the geniuses are digging into the real cause behind the tragedy in Amphoreus.
There’s more going on than we know, and it looks like the fate of Amphoreus could impact the entire galaxy. I’m curious to see how this all connects, and if it’ll set up a new arc after Flame-Chase ends.
