SHIFT UP and Level Infinite are back with a brand-new update for Goddess of Victory: NIKKE with Arcane Archive, bringing with it a major story event, another SSR Nikke, and a variety of gameplay improvements.
Set to go live after maintenance on May 15, 2025, this update marks the debut of SSR Arcana and launches the ARCANE ARCHIVE event, giving you a new chapter to uncover and more reasons to dive into battle.
Goddess of Victory: NIKKE ‘Arcane Archive’ Event and Update Overview
New SSR Character: Arcana
SSR Arcana joins the battlefield as a Supporter from Elysion. She’s designed to enhance your team’s firepower based on the remaining time after a Full Burst ends. The shorter the Full Burst, the more power she gives to your allies, making her ideal for burst-oriented team setups.
Arcana uses the Rocket Launcher Fortune Teller and has an Electric code. You can get her through Special Recruit from May 15 to May 29, 2025. You’ll need Gems or Advanced Recruit Vouchers for a chance to obtain her.
ARCANE ARCHIVE Story Event
A new story event titled ARCANE ARCHIVE will be available after the update. It follows Arcana’s journey to recover her lost memories after being brought to the Commander by Phantom. You can clear event stages and earn event items.
This can be exchanged for Recruit Vouchers and development materials in the Event Shop. The Challenge Stage mode also makes a return within ARCANE ARCHIVE, letting you battle tougher bosses for better development rewards.
Champion Arena – Beta Season 4
The fourth season of Champion Arena launches on May 22, 2025. If you’ve placed 4th or higher in the SP Arena, you can join this competitive PvP mode. Simulated battles will take place in multiple phases, such as the League, Promotion Tournament, and Champions’ Duel.
During key phases, you’ll also be able to use the Cheer system to predict the winners and earn exclusive avatar frames based on your ranking achievements.
Event Archives, Login Rewards, and other updates
The CLAY, MORE! story event has been added to the Event Archives section. You can unlock this by collecting Memory Films from the ARCANE ARCHIVE event.
Meanwhile, the 7-Day Login Event, REVEALED SECRETS, will give you daily bonuses, including Recruit Vouchers and upgrade materials, when you log in for any seven days during the event.
This update also brings several new features and improvements:
- Clear Info feature added to Interception
- New objects added for profile card customization
- New player titles introduced
- Maximum ranking avatar frame rewards increased
New character packages will be sold for a limited time after the update. SHIFT UP also promises additional bug fixes and optimizations that will be detailed after maintenance.
