Eat the Rich is a wild social deception title where you play as the 1%, launching on multiple platforms

Have the most Pennies in the end!

Story Highlights
  • Eat the Rich is a chaotic party game for 6–10 players where billionaires battle it out in a post-apocalyptic game show.
  • The game is currently developing a new cooking mini-game, revamping the Voting Interface, adding Walking Heads, and more.
  • Its early access on PC has been delayed from July to September, with a mobile release to follow soon after.

Monstronauts have unveiled their latest social deception party game, Eat the Rich, set to launch on Android, iOS, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series later this year. The game, developed by Maccima Games, was showcased at the 2025 Summer Game Fest and Steam’s Next Fest.

Get ready to claw, betray, and survive as the 1% in Eat the Rich

Eat the Rich is a post-apo-capitalistic social deception party title for 6-10 players in a chaotic, game show setting. You play as a billionaire in a world that’s collapsed due to greed, and now, the masses have forced the 1%, including you, into a deadly, bizarre game show against others like you.

With the current wave of anti-elite sentiment and Eat the Rich slogans being thrown around, the timing of this title is spot-on. But the twist is, you’re the billionaire. I love this twist that you’re not fighting the system, but you’re the system, going head-to-head with other elite contestants for pennies each round.

I’m liking the concept, bringing a fun, sadistic spin to the deception party genre, which gave us titles like Among Us and Town of Salem. Like these games, you can vote each other out one by one until only three of you remain. To win the match, you need to have the most Pennies till this point.

Play mini-games, form alliances, beat up other players, and more

You can look forward to playing a variety of group mini-games, teamwork for power-ups, and even betrayal. That said, what excites me most is that you can brawl with each other any time, using random weapons and items like guns.

The game surely shows promise, offering features like brawl, alliances, customization, in-game text and voice chat, cartoony visuals, and more. You can even form alliances, rig the game show, and even backstab your alliance for the top spot. If done well, it has the potential to reach good heights.

Eat the Rich is set to launch on Android, iOS, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series, following an early access on PC on September 10. You can play the demo on Steam now. The game will launch shortly after on mobile. Stay tuned for more updates!
