Toukana Interactive has announced that their beloved strategy puzzle title, Dorfromantik, is set to launch on mobile, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. While the console versions will mostly stay true to the original, the mobile version is being developed by Clockstone Studio.

Dorfromantik is a casual strategy and puzzle game that invites you into a peaceful world, while also offering puzzle challenges. In this game, you place tiles to expand an ever-growing village landscape, aiming to fit the tiles perfectly and beat your high score by strategically placing them.
You start with a stack of randomly generated tiles, and you can place and rotate each one to fit them perfectly in available slots. As you progress and group similar landscapes, they form forests, villages, or water bodies, which earn you points based on how well you fit them.
What intrigues me are the special quest tiles where you encounter special objects. For instance, a windmill wants to border 6 grain fields, and by completing these objectives, you earn extra tiles, which are crucial for keeping your expansion going, since it ends when you run out of tiles.

I also love the vibrant biomes that unlock as your landscape expands. You’ll even find pre-placed objects that provide long-term tasks, letting you unlock new tiles, biomes, and quests as you progress. I am looking forward to trying the mobile adaptation when it arrives.
