Crunchyroll kicks off its Ani-May celebrations with the launch of Square Enix’s Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, with more games coming soon

Crunchyroll, LLC has launched its third annual Ani-May celebration and is bringing new Game Vault titles each week throughout the month. The festivities have begun with the launch of Square Enix’s JRPG, Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, with more titles to join throughout May and early June.

Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth launches on Crunchyroll Game Vault as part of Ani-May 2025

Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth is a classic JRPG from Square Enix, inspired by Norse mythology, which was originally launched in 1999. In this game, you play as Lenneth, a newly reawakened valkyrie, tasked with collecting the souls of all the fallen soldiers for the final battle of the Gods, Ragnarok.

This is the first title in the beloved Valkyrie Profile series, originally released on PlayStation, and has finally arrived in Crunchyroll’s Game Vault, joining classics like Y’s I & II Chronicles+, cult horror title Aooni, and more. You can enjoy its turn-based combat, platforming, and various puzzles.

There’s more good news, as alongside Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, Crunchyroll is bringing a variety of other titles throughout Ani-May to celebrate the anime culture. Here are the titles:

• The Amazing Shinsengumi: Heroes in Love: This is a romance sim set in the legendary Shinsengumi samurai era. Developed by Dogenzaka Lab, this immersive visual novel recently joined the Game Vault and is now available to play.
• Corpse Party: It is a cult-classic horror adventure title from MAGES. Inc., that combines a scary storyline with intense decision-making. The game is available for pre-registration on Android and iOS.
• Grisaia Phantom Trigger Vol.1: Frontwing’s visual novel that serves as the first instalment of the acclaimed Grisaia franchise. You can look forward to a new storyline, characters, and more for this upcoming title.
• Shin Chan: Shiro and the Coal Town: In this slice-of-life adventure title based on beloved anime, you can join the Nohara Family and embark on an adventure to the countryside of Akita. You can also pre-register for this title on both Android and iOS.
• Shogun Showdown: Shogun Showdown is a tactical turn-based roguelike, where you can battle formidable enemies in a beautiful world inspired by feudal Japan.
• White Day: In this cult-classic survival horror title, you are trapped in a haunted school, filled with dark secrets and various puzzles, tasked with evading spirits and relentless pursuers. It is coming to the mobile for the first time via Crunchyroll.
