Studio Arm Private Limited has announced the launch of a new closed beta test for their tactical hero shooter title, Core Runners, now available on Android. This Valorant-inspired title previously held a CBT from December 12 to December 19, 2024, in select regions.
Dive into a Valorant-inspired shooter with unique characters and their abilities
Core Runners is a 5v5 tactical hero shooter that brings a mix of characters and game-changing abilities, clearly inspired by Valorant. Here, you can choose from six unique characters and dive into game modes like Core Heist or Knockout Rally to dominate other players in action-packed matches.

To me, it feels more like a Valorant clone than just some inspiration. Some characters, like Icaro, resemble Valorant’s Phoenix, though their abilities may vary. And modes like Core Heist require you to deploy or defuse the Extractor like Unrated, while Knockout Rally is like a fast-paced Team Deathmatch.
Experiment with a variety of weapons and battle across three maps
You can battle out across three unique maps, with balanced weapon mechanics and a built-in economy system. You can pick from a solid lineup of weapons like Pistols, SMGs, Assault rifles, Snipers, and Machine guns. As a Valorant player, I’m eager to try the Rebel rifle, which is probably the Vandal here.
Overall, the game shows a lot of promise, already crossing 100k downloads on Android during its beta tests. With a solid variety of characters, weapons, maps, game modes, game-changing abilities, balanced gunplay, solid visuals, and more, it can compete with Valorant mobile if done well.
Core Runners is now available in a closed beta test on Android, downloadable via the Google Play Store. That said, there’s no information regarding an iOS test or global launch. Stay tuned for more updates!
