Cookie Run: Kingdom Version 6.6 mid update “Starlight Island” continues summer vibes, new Cookie, limited events, and more

Cookie Run: Kingdom is set to release the new Version 6.6 mid update, “Starlight Island”. The update will be available after maintenance, which will be held around 06:00 – 10:00 (GMT+9). The new update coming on July 16th, 2025, will bring brand new content with new cookies, events, permanent content, and more!

Some portions of this update’s content may change before its release. The finalized changes will be available in the patch notes once the update is complete. As it is, the new update will be filled with new content such as new Cookies, New Episodes, Limited Events, Toppings, Treasures, QoL updates, and more!

Skill Description: Orange Cookie hits three tennis balls with a zesty smash! The balls explode and deal damage. The first explosion applies Zesty Juice, increases CRIT DMG taken, and inflicts Zap. The second and third explosions apply extra damage to targets with Zap. Zesty Juice stacks increase depending on the number of Citrus Squad Cookies.

When an ally Cookie other than Orange Cookie deals CRIT DMG to an enemy inflicted with Zesty Juice, the effect will trigger, dealing extra Electricity-type DMG, then disappear, increasing Electricity-type DMG taken by the target. The Citrus Party effect is amplified with more Citrus Squad Cookies in the team. The Citrus Squad will make unforgettable summer memories when they’re all together!

Palm Tree Harvest Festival

It’s back! The Town Square is alive again with the Palm Tree Harvest Festival, and it’s open 24/7! I’m honestly obsessed with these quirky mini-games, especially when I can play with friends. The goal? Chop down the giant palm tree with up to 7 players and dodge those pesky branches. You earn points, combos, and even trigger Fever Mode by collecting the letters T-R-E-E.

In Week 2, the Hard Bark mechanic gets added, and that’s where the real challenge begins, massive combo boosts if you can time it right. It’s chaotic, it’s fast, and it’s honestly the most fun I’ve had button-mashing in a while.

And the Town Square Coins rewards? Worth grinding for. Plus, there’s a seasonal leaderboard if you’re the competitive type. Just don’t go AFK, because then you’ll get barely anything!

Starlight Island! Error Busters Season 2

Error Busters is back with Season 2, and I’m genuinely surprised how much I enjoy this game mode. Starlight Island’s glitchy sci-fi vibes return with all-new enemies, mechanics, and Bug Fix Effects, and your progress from Season 1 carries over. I love when a mode respects the time you’ve already put in.

Also, say goodbye to Lemon Cookie soulstones in the shop, Orange Cookie’s soulstones are taking over, so grind while you can! It’s also worth mentioning that a new ranked season starts now, and if you’re the kind of player who likes optimization, this is your chance to flex your squad-building skills.

Golden Age of Trade

Let’s be real, no Cookie party is complete without some logistics, and Orange Cookie is a Type-A party planner. In this summer-themed delivery event, you’ll be helping her gather Beach Party items by trading requested goods. If you’re like me and love a chill “fill orders and get stuff” type of event, you’ll enjoy this one.

United by Trade

This one’s a bit more collaborative. Players across your server work together to reach milestone goals by sending out a cargo of high enough point value. I love community-driven events like this because they make you feel like you’re all working toward a common goal. The rewards scale as you go, so the more active your server is, the better the loot!

Caramel Choux Cookie gets a rainy-day glow-up with “Promenade in the Rain,” and it’s giving major romantic picnic vibes.
