- Clash Royale brings the Season 74 themed "Fired Up".
- This season brings the Furnace rework alongside its evolution.
Clash Royale is back with yet another new season, and from what they explain, the floor is lava. Season 74 is called “Fired Up”, and leading the charge is the Furnace rework and Card Evolution, so here are all the details about this new Clash Royale season.
Clash Royale Season 74 ‘Fired Up’ August 2025 Update Overview
Furnace Revamp
Teased for a long time, Furnace gets a mega revamp. Instead of being a spawner building, the Furnace is now a ground troop with ranged attacks. It still costs 4 Elixir and spawns Fire Spirits just like before, but this rework completely changes how the card plays.

Unlike previous passive gameplay styles, the new Furnace is designed to be more interactive and action-focused. In its reworked form, Furnace targets both air and ground units with a single-target ranged attack and spawns Fire Spirits at the same 5-second interval.
While the stats don’t outshine troops like Musketeer or Wizard, Furnace might shine in support roles during large pushes. All previous card progress is retained, so players don’t have to start from scratch.
New Card Evolution: Furnace
Not just the rework, Furnace also gets the Card Evolution. The Evolved Furnace keeps the same base stats as the normal version, but its special ability, Hot Spawns, is where the heat kicks in. When the Evolved Furnace is attacking, it spawns Fire Spirits much faster, every 1.8 seconds instead of the usual 5.

That’s a 2.8x faster rate, and it boosts the Fire Spirit damage output by 180%. Another unique touch is that the spirits spawn from alternating sides, left, then right. The evolution activates every third time you play the card, so two cycles.

Other Updates
Multiple banners and emotes will be a part of the update. Alongside that, several cards are getting a boost throughout, including Battle Ram, Furnace, Pekka, and Mega Knight. The August 2025 Balance Updates have not been announced yet, but we had changes for Merge Tactics.
Balance Changes for Season 74 in Merge Tactics

Here’s a full breakdown of the nerfs, buffs, and adjustments.
Nerfs
Archer Queen
- Range: 5 → 4 (-20%)
- Invisibility Duration: 3s → 2.5s (-17%)
Archer Queen’s steady damage and low-risk invisibility were too strong. This change adds more risk to her usage and more counterplay for opponents.
P.E.K.K.A
- Damage: 385 → 360 (-6%)
She dominated as a high-damage frontliner. This slight nerf opens up room for other heavy hitters to shine.
Knight
- Hit Speed: 1.43 → 1.66 (-14%)
Knight’s reliability as a cheap tank made him a bit too efficient. A slower attack speed should balance him better.
Ouch!
- Damage Reflection: 50% → 40% (-20%)
This Modifier was punishing ranged units too harshly. Reducing the reflection damage makes it more manageable.
Buffs
Spear Goblin
- Damage: 132 → 156 (+18%)
A needed boost to help him stand out more in battle.
Bomber
- Damage: 96 → 108 (+12%)
Slightly more damage helps him counter tighter troop formations and make better use of his splash attack.
Mega Knight
- Damage: 73 → 103 (+42%)
A big offensive boost so he can do more when allies go down and justify his 4-cost investment.
Brawler
- 2/4 Bonus HP: 30% → 40% (+33%)
- 4/4 Bonus HP: 60% → 80% (+33%)
Brawlers were falling short in tankiness. These buffs help them stay in the fight longer.
Undead
- Bonus Damage: 20% → 30% (+50%)
Since their power takes time to ramp up, this buff rewards the payoff more.
Less is More
- Bonus: 20% → 25% (+25%)
The Modifier now offers more incentive for players to build strategies around it.
Adjustments
Valkyrie
- Hit Speed: 1.43 → 1.66 (-14%)
- Damage: 116 → 127 (+10%)
Valkyrie’s pacing is adjusted to make her rhythm more distinct while keeping her overall DPS consistent.
Skeleton King
- Hit Speed: 1.66 → 2 (-17%)
- Damage: 140 → 180 (+28%)
Skeleton King now feels more like a true powerhouse, with slower but harder-hitting attacks.
Goblin
- Hit Speed: 0.71 → 0.66 (+7%)
- Damage: 96 → 108 (+12%)
- Hitpoints: 540 → 504 (-7%)
Less HP but more speed and damage solidify the Goblin’s role as a fast single-target damage dealer.
Juggernaut
- 2/4 Ally Shield: 15% → 20% (+33%)
- 2/4 Self Shield: 30% → 20% (-33%)
- 4/4 Ally Shield: 30% → 40% (+33%)
- 4/4 Self Shield: 60% → 40% (-33%)
Simplified numbers and clearer descriptions make Juggernaut easier to understand and more effective in group play.
