Season 72 in Clash Royale brings a fiery twist to the Arena with the arrival of a new Inferno Dragon evolution. But the update doesn’t stop there, as we get more of the new additions in this season update, which I will share here.
Clash Royale Season 72 June 2025 Update Overview
New Evolution: Inferno Dragon
It can be said as one of the powerful Evos now. Inferno Dragon Evolution doesn’t come with any base stat buffs but introduces a powerful new mechanic called Beam Momentum. This new ability fixes one of the original card’s biggest weaknesses, having to reset its beam every time it changed targets.
With the evolution, the Inferno Dragon can now retain its beam charge for up to 9 seconds after switching targets. That means it can continue ramping up damage, even on Crown Towers, as long as the new target is acquired within that time window.
Inferno Dragon Evolution activates every second cycle, so only one in every three deploys will be the evolved version. This evolution offers huge potential against tanks and heavy units, especially when supported properly or protected from resets.
Free and Diamond Pass Royale details
The changes after removing the seasonal shop have been reflected in the Pass Royale as well. There are changes in the free and paid rewards, which I list in the table below.

With 90 tiers in total, the Free Pass gives you a decent mix of Gold Crates, Lucky Drops, Card Boost Potions, and a couple of Wild Shards. You’ll also get a handful of Giant Chests and some Battle Banners along the way.
But if you go for the Diamond Pass, things get way more exciting. You unlock 6 Inferno Dragon Evolution Shards, a lot of Wild Cards across all rarities, a Magical Chest, and even a Legendary King’s Chest.
There’s also an exclusive Tower Skin that has been officially confirmed for the Pass Royale with this update. Inferno Dragon Tower Skin is unlocked once you have reached Tier 90 of the Premium Tier in the Pass Royale, which was usually in Tier 56 before the March update.
In addition, an Emote, and a bunch of Lucky Drops with higher-star chances. Plus, you get premium perks like a Golden Name, Free Challenge Rejoins, and Premium Clan Gifts. Worth it if you’re aiming for max rewards and cosmetics.
Balance Updates and Other Details
Multiple banners and emotes will be a part of the update. Alongside that, several cards are getting a boost throughout, including Inferno Dragon, Baby Dragon, Electro Dragon, and Skeleton Dragons. The June 2025 Balance Updates have not been announced yet.
