Season 71 has arrived in Clash Royale, and it is time for the Undead. Titled ‘Undead March’, this season again follows a similar pattern to the last one. Alongside the new Evolution, let me give you the complete overview of what has arrived with Season 71 in Clash Royale.
Clash Royale Season 71 May 2025 Update Overview
New Evolution: Witch
Arriving as the fifth Card Evolution this year, Witch brings a completely new mechanic to the table. The evolved form doesn’t get any stat buffs, but instead gets a unique ability called Healing Bones. Whenever her Skeletons die, their souls fly back to her and heal her for 109 HP each.
Yes, this healing can go beyond her original HP, up to 130%, which is pretty overpowered if you ask me. The healing isn’t just limited to her spawns either.
Skeletons from other cards like Skeleton Army, Tombstone, Guards, or even Evolved Skeletons will also heal her, as long as they aren’t from Clone or Skeleton King‘s ability. But to add more context, the soul takes 1 second to reach her, so healing isn’t instant. Her evo activates every second cycle.
Free and Diamond Pass Royale details
The changes after removing the seasonal shop have been reflected in the Pass Royale as well. There are changes in the free and paid rewards, which I list in the table below.

With 90 tiers in total, the Free Pass gives you a decent mix of Gold Crates, Lucky Drops, Card Boost Potions, and a couple of Wild Shards. You’ll also get a handful of Giant Chests and some Battle Banners along the way.
But if you go for the Diamond Pass, things get way more exciting. You unlock 6 Witch Evolution Shards, tons of Wild Cards across all rarities, a Magical Chest, and even a Legendary King’s Chest.
There’s also an exclusive Tower Skin that has been officially confirmed for the Pass Royale with this update. Witch Evolution Tower Skin is unlocked once you have reached Tier 90 of the Premium Tier in the Pass Royale, which was usually in Tier 56 before the March update.
In addition, an Emote, and a bunch of Lucky Drops with higher-star chances. Plus, you get premium perks like a Golden Name, Free Challenge Rejoins, and Premium Clan Gifts. Worth it if you’re aiming for max rewards and cosmetics.

Other details
This season also features the Barebones Tower Skin, which is available as a separate in-app purchase using Gold. Alongside that, several cards are getting a boost throughout, including Witch, Skeletons, Skeleton Army, and Tombstone.
