Clash of Clans rolls out new global pricing system, expands to over 100 countries

More fairer purchasing!

Story Highlights
  • Clash of Clans officially introduces global pricing after testing in select regions worldwide.
  • In-game prices and Supercell Store purchases now reflect the cost of living in each country.

Playing a game you love can get tough if prices feel too high. Since costs vary by country, Supercell is making changes for Clash of Clans to keep things fair for players everywhere. Clash of Clans has officially rolled out global pricing across more than 100 countries.

Gold Pass and Event Pass gifting across lower and higher-priced regions has been restricted

This update includes regions like Latin America, Africa, Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, and Central Asia. What this means for you is simple: the prices for in-app purchases and items in the Supercell Store are now aligned with the cost of living in your country.

So instead of one flat price everywhere, the game adjusts so it’s fairer depending on where you are. Now, when you buy something in-game or through the Supercell Store, the price will align with your country’s cost of living.

For example, one Gold Pass price worldwide didn’t make sense because it was too cheap in some places and nearly impossible to afford in others. This new system balances things out. To keep things fair, Supercell has put in one restriction: Gold Pass and Event Pass gifting is not allowed from lower-priced regions to higher-priced ones.

This stops unfair advantages but still keeps gifting alive within fair limits. Supercell has also confirmed that it will review prices regularly, so we don’t need to worry about adjusting to regional pricing often, and hence expect to get fair deals.

This change makes Clash of Clans more accessible. It removes the frustration of seeing different prices during testing and means everyone in those regions is now treated equally. I also see this system might expand to other Supercell games in the future.
