Clash of Clans is ending support for Amazon Appstore users: What players need to know

Amazon is closing its Android Appstore after 14 years, focusing on its own Fire devices instead.

Following Amazon’s decision to shut down its Amazon Appstore platform on August 20, 2025, Clash of Clans is officially parting ways and is dropping support for the same entirely. Supercell has confirmed that the June 2025 update was the final one for Amazon Appstore users.

Players can save their Clash of Clans progress by linking to Supercell ID

If you are playing via Amazon, you may have noticed changes to your in-game Shop, such as missing offers or inactive Gold and Event Passes. This has already been removed at the time of writing with the recent update, and in-app purchases have already been disabled.

This means that Clash of Clans will no longer receive any future updates or support through the Amazon Appstore. However, Supercell is making it easy for players to continue their Clash journey. By linking your game to Supercell ID, you can safely transfer your progress to either the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.

To switch, users need to connect their current game to Supercell ID, uninstall the app, reinstall it from a supported store, and then log back in. This move comes as part of Amazon’s announcement to end support for its Android Appstore, marking the end of a 14-year run. While the Appstore will remain available on Fire devices like Fire TV and Fire Tablets, Windows, iOS, and now Android will not see the application work anymore.
