Clash of Clans is rolling out a major change that will make the game’s progression much simpler. In the upcoming Clash of Clans update, Town Hall star upgrade levels from Town Hall 12 to 15 and also Town Hall 17 will be removed.
Alongside Town Hall star level changes, Spring Trap will also be reworked in Clash of Clans
Until now, these Town Halls had multiple star levels, which meant you had to upgrade them several times before reaching their maximum potential. With this update, all of these Town Halls will be standardized to just one level, following the same system as Town Hall 16, which didn’t need any upgrading.
This change means that instead of working through extra stars for Town Halls, you’ll now only have one clear upgrade to complete. For many players, this will feel like a huge relief, especially if you’ve been stuck grinding through those additional upgrades.
However, if you’re currently in the middle of upgrading your Town Hall weapon, the upgrade will be cancelled when the update arrives, and the resources used won’t be refunded. The benefit is that your Town Hall weapon will automatically match the stats of a previously maxed-out version.
If you’re someone who was in the middle of upgrading your Town Hall stars, this update could feel like the best bet to save some Gold. However, the benefit is that you won’t have to spend as much time or resources on multiple stages of the same Town Hall. The details about Town Hall defense changes, if any, are currently unknown.
Another major update is coming to the Spring Trap. Instead of targeting multiple units at once, the trap will now focus on one troop, the one with the highest housing space in its range. If the troop’s housing space is larger than the trap’s capacity, it will take heavy damage.
If this damage destroys the troop, it will be ejected. If the troop survives, it will be thrown vertically, unable to move or attack for a short time. On the other hand, if the troop’s housing space is equal to or smaller than the trap’s limit, it will be instantly ejected.
Seven new Spring Trap levels will also be added, from level 6 up to level 12, starting at Town Hall 11. The same rework applies to Builder Base, where level 5 has been added for Spring Traps.
