A PLUS JAPAN has announced a global Closed Beta test for their MMORPG, Blue Protocol: Star Resonance, with test recruitment now live on PC until August 14. Initially developed by Tencent with Bandai Namco, the global launch was cancelled after its shutdown in Japan.

If you didn’t know, Blue Protocol: Star Resonance is an open-world anime-style MMORPG developed by BOKURA and officially licensed by Bandai Namco. Set in the visually stunning continent of Magna, the game was announced in May, that the game will launch this year on mobile and PC.
Here, you can create your hero, go on exciting adventures, take part in strategic raids, or just chill with casual activities. The game was originally known as Blue Protocol, before being revived under its current name, and held a 2nd closed beta this April.
The good part is that the global closed beta test of Blue Protocol: Star Resonance is around the corner, marking the first move towards its international release. It also had a successful launch in China earlier this month, which makes me more intrigued to see what the devs are cooking for us.
Here’s how you can apply for the CBT
This will be a paid closed beta test with data wipe, meaning payment functions will be available during the testing phase. The good news is that the test recruitment is now live until August 14, and the game’s access will be granted from August 15 to August 20. The beta test will run for at least 10 days.
By following this steps, you can now apply for the test:
- First, join their Discord server via the invite link.
- After joining, go to the Game News channel.
- There, you’ll find the recruitment questionnaire.
- Now, fill in the questionnaire with all the required details.
- Press submit and you’re good to go.
If you’re selected for the test, you’ll receive a notification along with the exclusive test code sent to your email. I’m hoping to get in, as I’m excited to try the game. However, keep in mind that this test version is still being optimized and does not reflect the final quality.
