Bloomtown: A Different Story is a story-driven JRPG that blends turn-based combat, monster taming, and social elements. Set in a charming 1960s Americana world, you play as Emily and her younger brother Chester as they spend their summer holiday at their grandpa’s place.
Here, children begin to vanish, and eerie nightmares start to get real in Bloomtown, a cozy American town. However, beneath the town lies a hidden demon world, giving me the creepy vibes of Stranger Things. So, you’ve to uncover the mystery and protect the town from what lurks below.
You’ll be saving townsfolk from their fears and vices, which have turned into monstrous versions in the Underside. I’m especially excited to face the giant demons and dungeon bosses through strategic turn-based battles.
Battle and summon demons, build bonds, and enjoy casual activities
You can even summon inner demons, both yours and those you’ve captured, to unleash powerful combos. Beyond combat, you can build your squad by capturing weakened creatures, hit the gym to boost stats, work a part-time job for cash, spend time with friends, and even enjoy gardening.
All in all, the game looks very promising, offering dual-world exploration, tactical battles, adorable characters, abilities, various creatures, a deep fuse system, casual activities, and more. I’m trying this game when I get time.
