Foursaken Media has announced the launch of its block-building tower defense action title, Block Fortress 2, now available on Android, with pre-registration live on iOS. According to the App Store’s listing, this sequel in the hit franchise is expected to launch on September 18.

Block Fortress 2 blends block-building, tower defense, and FPS/TPS gameplay, putting you in charge of creating both defenses and destruction. Here, you can construct towering bases and train specialized soldiers and robots to protect your territory from relentless enemies of the Blockverse.
The game draws inspiration from Minecraft but adds its twists with TD and lets you explore 10 different planet biomes, each with unique hazards. Like Minecraft, you have full freedom to design your base using over 200 block types, including turrets, shield generators, farms, zip-lines, and more.

Although I haven’t played the first Block Fortress, having spent a lot of time with Minecraft makes me very excited to try this one. I’m especially eager to try out the variety of weapons, from rocket launchers and mini-guns to plasma rifles and jet packs. It’s also fun to deploy soldiers and robots to fight with you.
Overall, the game looks very promising with multiple game modes, including sandbox, missions, and survival, an extensive mission builder, various planet biomes, a dynamic day and night cycle, severe weather, alien monsters, block types, the ability to share your creations, and more.
Block Fortress 2 is now available on Android, and you can download the game via the Google Play Store. iOS pre-registration is also now live, and you can pre-register for the game via the App Store. According to its listing, the game is expected to launch on September 18.
