To bring this dream into reality, KRAFTON has announced the Battlegrounds Mobile India OG vs NG Legacies Clash Face-off.
In this friendly tournament, both the old players from the 2019-2021 era and the players from the current era will face each other to come victorious. In this article, I am going to discuss the entire format, rosters, and schedule of the upcoming BGMI Independence Day Face-off tournament, which will take place on the 14th and 15th of August.
The Old vs New Legacy Battle teams will take you down memory lane
Krafton India has recently announced all the playing teams and the line-ups on their social media handles. This includes almost all the OGs from the beginning phase of the game. We will see legends like SouL MortaL, TeamINDScOut, Hydra Dynamo, GodL Jonathan, and many more.
We will also see two line-ups from the same team, where the OG line-up will represent the legacy team, and the new lineup will represent the current roster of that particular organization. Both Team SouL and 8Bit will have two line-ups in this tournament.
We will also have the current national champions, Team Aryan x TMG Esports. They recently represented India in the PUBG Mobile World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Here is the list of the playing teams and their players:
- OG Team SouL: Mortal, Viper, Owais, Ronak, Slayer.
- iQOO SouL: Nakul, Joker, Goblin, Legit.
- Revenant X-Spark: Shadow, Rony, Sarang, NinjaJod.

The total prize pool of this tournament is 8,00,000 INR. The tournament will be streamed live on Krafton India Esports’ YouTube channel.
BGMI Independence Day Face-off: Schedule
The OG vs NG Face-off Legacy Battle will take place on the 14th and 15th of August. All the teams will play a total of 13 matches. There are two types of matches: Main Match and Show Match.
Show Matches will be played in WoW Mode, and the main matches will be held in the usual BR maps. On day 1, we will see seven matches, including the opening match. Day 2 will offer us six matches. Here is the full schedule of the tournament:

This tournament has the perfect mix of both fun segments like WoW mode and the serious Esports flavours. With the comeback of the OGs, the fans are surely going to have a cracker of a tournament.
