Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is an open-world RPG from Netmarble. The game has been available for nearly two months since its launch. It features Westeros and many memories of it. While I assume you’re enjoying the game, it is very important to know the currency.
There are several types, and you should know them for a better gameplay experience. So, I made this Game of Thrones: Kingsroad currency guide. If you’re starting with the game, we have prepared the redeem code article and a beginner’s guide for you as well.
List of Free Currencies in Game of Thrones: Kingsroad
There’s one entirely free and basic currency, while the other one is in between. You can get some by playing the game, but most of it is featured in the Shop.
1. Copper
How to get Copper in Game of Thrones: Kingsroad
Copper is the most basic currency in-game, used for several purposes. You will have tons of it while playing. The game lets you earn copper for almost every step you take.
For example, you will start with over 10k coppers at the beginning of the game. For each mission you complete, any quests, side missions, etc., you will receive coppers.

Copper has various ways to be spent. You can buy Mount Equipment, and even a mount named Redridge, by using 200,000 coppers.
2. Golden Dragon
How to get Golden Dragon in Game of Thrones: Kingsroad
Golden Dragon is a rare currency sometimes to be obtained by playing, but mostly by purchasing. However, you can get it by completing the guidebook missions, achievements of a particular type, etc.
Where to spend Golden Dragon in Game of Thrones: Kingsroad
Golden Dragon is needed to create an Alliance. Besides, you will spend it on items in the Shop. Like in the Support tab in Shop, go to the convenience menu.
Also, you will see that several types of inventories are up for sale, which can be bought by using Golden Dragons. You can buy the white mount named Palecoat by using 320 Golden Dragons. The Troutback comes with the same cost as well.

The game has one premium currency.
Iron Bank Mark
How to get Iron Bank Mark in Game of Thrones: Kingsroad
This is a premium currency, and I haven’t found any way to get it other than subscribing to premium items like the House Tyre Monthly Subscription. Still, the game doesn’t let you get many Iron Bank Marks. It is only featured in the Store, where you can buy it by spending money.
Where to spend Iron Bank Mark in Game of Thrones: Kingsroad
Iron Bank Mark can be used in the shop to purchase several packages, like the Westeros Welcome Package. From the Shop>Support>Convenience tab, you will be able to buy it.
Besides, you can buy Mail Crow with Marks. The Direwolves and Elks can only be brought using Marks. Outfits are also accessible by spending this currency.
Other Currencies in Game of Thrones: Kingsroad
Though we’re marking a few as the currency in this title, it is saying otherwise. The game gives a list of currencies, tokens, and materials, all under the same Currency tag. Here are some additional currencies, as the game says.
- Reach Token: You will get Reach Tokens for completing activities in the Reach. Completing repeatable activities in the Reach will earn you a few, which you can exchange in the exchange tab from the shop.
- North Token: Same as the above one, the North Tokens are only claimable after completing tasks and activities in the North. Following the same rule for location-specific tokens, you can also exchange them in the shop.
- Stromland Token: As you go to the Stromland, you will earn these tokens by doing the same type of activities. Besides, you can exchange it as well from the shop.
- Artifact Piece: These rare tokens are exchangeable, and you will get them from Artifact Expeditions. You will use it in the Artifact Exchange Shop.
- Basic Skill Point: As the name suggests, this point is for improving combo and special skills. The rarity of this token is epic.
- Active Skill Point: Same as the above, but serves a different purpose. These tokens will be used to improve active skills. The rarity is epic, again.
- Trait Point: This epic rarity currency is required to activate the Trait Tree.
- Tribute: Tribute is the rare treasure chest that Raven led had enough to purchase Grateful Heart from the Exchange Shop tab of the Shop menu.
- Building Materials: This uncommon currency is required for improving and managing your estate.
- Royal Favor: This epic currency can be obtained as a bonus upon making a monthly subscription purchase. You can use it in the Exchange Tab of the Shop menu.
- Requisition Token: This uncommon rarity item is only achievable by completing the Beyond The Wall Expedition. You can exchange it for exclusive rewards.
Season Currencies in Game of Thrones: Kingsroad
There are two kinds of Season Currency in the game:
- Beyond the Wall Expedition Season Growth Points: This is a rare season currency and is required for growth in the Beyond the Wall Expedition season.
- Wormwalks Season Growth Points: This is also a rare season currency and is required for growth in the Wormwalks season.
Final Thoughts
As you know, the state of these currencies, you already understand that the Iron Bank Mark and the Golden Dragon are important. Thus, be patient while playing and save as much as possible to use them on only the required goods.
You can progress by playing F2P, but it won’t be the same as P2W. I’m not saying that you must make a purchase, but there should be some if you want to taste each corner of the game. Full entertainment and adventure are only possible through so.
