eFootball 2026 brought us multiple packs to kick off the new season, and the Starter Set brings a legendary addition with Ruud van Nistelrooij featured as the highlight. There are many curious players thinking whether he is a value for the money paid, so here’s my review.
eFootball 2026 Starter Set: van Nistelrooij pack details and review
Available as a starter set, this pack’s contents include this Epic card. We have 100 coins for free with three featured card options, so overall, the value of the deal seems to be sweetened.
Ruud van Nistelrooij
- Position: CF
- Playing Style: Fox In The Box
- Showtime Skill: Phenomenal Finishing
Van Nistelrooij arrives as the definition of a pure striker. His game is built around that “sneak and score” instinct, and that works pretty well. Can say he’s the kind of player who is always in the right place at the right time.
His offensive awareness comfortably sits in the high 90s, which means he makes razor-sharp runs and rarely wastes movement. Couple that with finishing that hovers in the low 90s, strong numbers for sure. Physically, he’s no slouch either.

Standing tall at 189cm, he combines aerial strength in the mid-80s with acceleration pushing close to 90, making him dangerous both on the ground and in the air. His jumping ability is also strong, making headers a serious threat.
Ball control and dribbling sit around the low 80s, where he can’t dance past defenders, but give him service and he’ll do the rest. Overall, I still feel the card could have seen ratings close to 104, but I still don’t understand how this works, so enjoy the card.
There are three featured cards available as well:
Nathan Aké
- Position: LB
- Playing Style: Offensive Fullback
Aké comes in as an offensive fullback, but his card doesn’t stand out compared to stronger options already available in the game. His tackling and awareness are reliable enough to hold the left side, but going forward, he doesn’t provide much more than safe passes and simple carries.
Denzel Dumfries
- Position: RMF
- Playing Style: Cross Specialist
Dumfries is listed as a cross specialist, and while his stamina and physical strength make him hard to stop on the right flank, his technical side is fairly limited. He can deliver decent crosses on the overlap, but ball control and passing are inconsistent. Better built as an RB.
Wout Weghorst
- Position: CF
- Playing Style: Fox In The Box
Weghorst is always a threat in the air and capable of finishing inside the area, but his lack of pace and mobility makes him predictable against stronger defenders. He works best as a late-game aerial presence rather than a dependable starter, so his usefulness can feel situational.
Is the Starter Set: van Nistelrooij pack worth purchasing in eFootball 2026
While the pack tries to provide depth with Aké, Dumfries, and Weghorst, none of these cards feel like long-term options. The real value of this set lies entirely in Ruud van Nistelrooij, and if you want this profile of strikers or need a strong option, go for it.
