KONAMI’s eFootball 2025 continues its gifting spree, this time with the Show Time GK Directing Defence Selection Contract. As part of the ongoing European National Teams Campaign, this special contract brings in a brand-new Show Time skill for the Goalkeepers.
This Selection Contract guarantees you one of the four featured Epic-level goalkeepers. Whether you’re eyeing Pickford, Livaković, Diogo Costa, or Paes, this guide will break down their stats, skills, and what makes each keeper stand out.
eFootball 2025 Show Time GK Directing Defence player picks
All keepers get the GK Directing Defence skill.
Jordan Pickford
- Position: GK
- Playing Style: Offensive Goalkeeper
Pickford‘s card is designed for aggressive setups. He’s got that classic offensive goalkeeper vibe, quick off the line, sharp reflexes, and ready to ping the ball across the pitch. I’ve tried his other cards in English League events, and I felt he was decent; and this card is quite an upgrade.

His reflexes and parrying numbers do pop out, and his long throw helps for counters. But he isn’t the tallest out there, and sometimes you might feel that in aerial duels, jumping and catching are not his strong suits. Still, if you want a keeper who plays fast and gets involved early, he ticks a lot of boxes.
Diogo Costa
- Position: GK
- Playing Style: Offensive Goalkeeper
Costa feels like the most modern of the bunch. His stats aren’t insanely high in one specific area, but it’s the total package that matters here. You get good distribution, reliable keeping, and even some bonus leadership with the Captaincy skill.

He’s good with passes, both short and lofted, especially the latter, which is over 70, really good for a keeper. If you like building from the back with calm, Costa is very usable, though you’ll want to boost his catching a bit to make him feel more solid.
Dominik Livaković
- Position: GK
- Playing Style: Defensive Goalkeeper
On paper, he is this classic defensive keeper who holds position and waits to pounce. His GK reach and parrying numbers are quite high, and with that, I feel he can handle pressure in close-range situations well.

Not the most mobile, and not the kind who rushes out easily, mainly due to playstyle, but in a parked bus setup, I think he thrives. Numbers look dependable, too. The best Jump numbers among the four also put him in a higher spot.
Maarten Paes
- Position: GK
- Playing Style: Defensive Goalkeeper
Bit of a wildcard here. Paes is the tallest of the lot, solidly built, and looks to be a good deal. His numbers are pretty balanced, and he’s one of those keepers who just covers a lot of the goal with his frame. No, GK Penalty Saver skill is lazy from KONAMI, but yeah, you can add it.

The one downside? That reach number is in the mid-80s, which is a bummer. The physical stats look okay, but trusting this number is tough, and even with different builds, it takes a hit on other stats. Jump is also pretty tame, but since he is tall, I don’t think it would be very important.
Who should be your pick among the four GKs in Directing Defence Selection Contract
Overall, if I’m being honest, all keepers on paper are decent. They are free cards, so I won’t complain much, and also, I haven’t experienced how this new Show Time skill works, so without playing these cards, tough to come to a strong verdict.
But still, having tried a couple of different versions, checking numbers, and their use case, I do have my preferences. I see Diogo Costa as my pick, who I feel is the most balanced one; his lack of catching is compensated with his other attributes.
Livakovic, Pickford, and Paes are next in line as per my preferences. Pickford honestly suits to be the best pick if you are into playing themed events, because he comes with English League affinity, so you can use him more in such events.
