Clash of Clans: How to beat the High Seas Hijinks Challenge

Conquer the seas!

Story Highlights
  • Clash of Clans has introduced the first challenge called as High Seas Hijinks.
  • The Challenge will run from May 1st to May 8th.

Clash of Clans has brought in the Battle for the High Seas season, which has fun, pirate vibes, and of course, another clever base to crack. The first big test would be the High Seas Hijinks Challenge in Clash of Clans.

This challenge brings another tricky layout packed with traps and surprises, but as always, I’ve broken it down step-by-step. Here’s everything you need to know to beat the High Seas Hijinks Challenge in Clash of Clans.

Introducing the High Seas Hijinks Challenge in Clash of Clans

Another base where the defense is overloaded. Looks like a hard nut to crack, even though there are plenty of openings. From the troop combinations, it is pretty clear that this is more of a “time your troops and spells right” to pick a three-star.

The rewards will be distributed like in previous challenges, you will receive extra resources along with 400 XP, 25 Gems, and 1x Resource Potion. With the team continuing their usual approach, there don’t seem to be any plans to change this anytime soon.

How to beat the High Seas Hijinks Challenge in Clash of Clans

Start by placing Giants, two behind the Fire Spitter on the right side of the base. This will lure out the Poison Tower and the Clan Castle troops. Now, switch to your Lightning Spells. Look closely at the Minions’ shadow and zap them with one lightning spell.

Use another spell to eliminate the Skeletons. Next, deploy your Wizards, one behind each Fire Spitter on the top-right and top-left sides. The Furnace Troop goes far left on the base, and your Thrower should go where the Giants were initially dropped to finish off the Fire Spitter. Place one Archer to the right of the Air Defense.

Now it’s time to target major defenses. Use one Earthquake and three Lightning Spells on the tip of the Multi-Target Inferno to take out the Inferno, Sweeper, and Air Defense. Drop another Earthquake on the Single-Target Infernos.

To clear the Giant Bombs at the top of the base, use three Archers. Then place a Giant followed by the Barbarian King near the Single-Target Inferno. Add two more Archers to eliminate the red hut on the right, and send in your Royal Champion toward the Builder Hut on the left.

Watch for the Royal Champion approaching the Hero Hall. When the Inferno locks on, wait briefly, then use an Invisibility Spell to protect her. Once the Archer Tower falls, activate her ability. At the bottom left, place one Balloon beside each Cannon to trigger traps.

Then, send in your Ice Hound, four Dragons, two more Balloons, and your two Head Hunters. Your Clan Castle Troops, Super Valkyrie, Apprentice Warden, and Minion Prince go near the left Cannon as well.

Save remaining spells and abilities for dealing with the Single-Target Infernos. Use the King’s ability when needed, and remember the Vamp Stash and Snake Bracelet will offer limited healing. Once your main troops have moved beyond where the Royal Champion was taken out, revive her.

Be smart with your Invisibility Spell, prioritize saving the Royal Champion or Minion Prince if targeted by a Single Inferno. If needed, trigger the Minion Prince’s ability early to avoid time fails and spawn the Puppet for cleanup.

Although this strategy may take a couple of practice runs, following the steps carefully will get your three stars in the High Seas Hijinks Challenge.
