BlazBlue Entropy Effect is a side-scrolling roguelike action title from 91Act. This spin-off of the BlazBlue fighting series offers an original storyline, 14 unique characters, abilities, dozens of move variations, full gamepad support, and more. In this BlazBlue Entropy Effect Beginners Guide, I will provide some tips and tricks to help you get started and improve your gameplay experience.
BlazBlue Entropy Effect Overview
Let’s start with the gameplay overview of BlazBlue Entropy Effect to help you get a clear idea of how the game works. At the start, you can choose from the initial Prototypes such as Hikibi, Mai, or Es, and the one you unlock can be used across all your Save Files.
You will go through tutorial stages where you clear waves of enemies and collect rewards. One of the major highlights for me was battling Elite enemies, which are like Bosses, along with the freedom to mix and match Prototypes’ abilities to constantly shift your combat style during fights.

As you move forward, you can upgrade Potentials to enhance your Prototype’s moves, like Es’ Modred, which is a Slasher-type one. That said, you’ll also venture into different Stages, each with unique effects or functions, such as Fire and Ice. There’s even a duo mode for you to play with your friends.
You can also try Tactics like Cold Attack, Skill Cold, or Skill Hail to add effects to your moves, though they come with specific restrictions on trigger method and quality. With all these, you can jump around, even double jump, chain attacks, use special skills, and face off enemies swarming from every direction.
Introducing the Basics of BlazBlue Entropy Effect
Evotype

Every Prototype has an Evotype Ability, like Oblivion Glaives, Maple Blossom, and Armament No.8EE “Meteor Carpet St. You can also unlock an Evotype Talent, like The Way of Assassination, which deals more damage when attacking an enemy from behind.
Potential
You will get to upgrade a variety of Potentials as you progress throughout the Stages. Here are the Potentials: Attack, Jump, Dash, Oblivion Glaive, Heavy Strike, Double Wing Rapid Cyclone, Staggering Cuts, Pulverizing Fin, Black Thunder: Ran, Endlos Lace, Shadow Heel, and Dual Wing Double Smash.

Many of these Potentials also come with powerful Activated Hidden Effects that further increase your impact. For instance, Endlos Lace causes clones to explode over a wide area for increased damage, while Oblivion Glaive can seamlessly follow an Airborne Attack while still recovering from immobilization.
Tactic

Like I said, Tactics add effects to your moves, and it comes under 5 Trigger Methods: Attack, Skill, Dash, Legacy, and Summoner. You’ll unlock more Tactics as you progress, like Attack Lightwave, which spawns a Lightwave that deals 103% damage of this Attack when your Attack hits an Enemy.
Achievement

The game features an Achievement section, which consists of Main, Elite Enemy, Collect, and Crossover achievements. By completing them, you can earn a variety of rewards. For instance, by using Ragna in Mind Training and reaching a 1500 rating, you will earn Palette: Ragna-Training Master.
Store

The game also includes an in-game Store, through which you can buy Analyzers in different amounts. You can also take advantage of the offer and get 1 Analyzer for just $1, just once. That said, if you don’t receive them after payment, you can tap on Restore Purchase or restart the game to try recovering.
BlazBlue Entropy Effect Beginners Guide: Tips and Tricks
1. Choose a solid Prototype and master it early

You can start by picking a particular Prototype you like out of the three, and focus on learning its moves, combos, and unique Evotype Talents and Abilities. By getting comfortable with one character’s strengths and weaknesses, you can properly clear the stages and even defeat the Elite enemies.
2. Experiment with Tactics

Tactics are very important and can significantly enhance your fighting style. You should try combining Trigger Methods like Attack and Skill, and use it’s skills to create strong combos to deal a lot of damage to your enemies and clear the Stages easily.
3. Take advantage of hidden effects
Some Potentials unlock powerful Activated Hidden Effects which has the power to turn the tide of the battle. So you should take advantage of them, like with Oblivion Glaive, you can follow up with an Airborne Attack while you still recover from immobilization.
4. Upgrade Potentials Strategically

While Potentials are useful, you don’t need to equally give attention to all of them. You should prioritize upgrading Attack, Heavy Strike, Oblivion Glaive, or Staggering Cuts to increase your damage output, then move to utility Potentials like Jump or Dash for a mobility-based bonus.
5. Use Mobility to your Advantage
In this game, you’ll need to master mobility to clear the different Stages easily. You have to keep on jumping, dashing, and doing air combos to avoid damage while dealing consistent hits. You should try a jump plus attack combo to clear enemies more efficiently.
6. Experiment with Evotype Talents
Evotype Talents like The Way of Assassination can give you a big edge if you can take advantage of it to its fullest potential. For instance, you should practice attacking from behind to maximize the bonus damage of the Talent.
