Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League is here again with its second split of 2025. The Mobile Legends MPL Philippines (MPL PH) Season 16 will start on the 22nd of August with 8 teams and a huge prize pool. As we get closer to the MOBA action event, this article will provide you with all the details you need to know about the event. Organized by MOONTON, the event will take place offline.
Mobile Legends MPL Philippines (MPL PH) Season 16: Schedule and Format
There will be two stages in the esports tournament, starting with the regular season on the 22nd of August 2025. It will run till the 12th of October 2025. This stage will feature BO3 (best-of-three) matches in a round robin format. The top 6 teams will advance to the next stage.
The second stage of the tournament will be the playoffs, where the remaining six teams will fight each other, preferably in an upper and lower bracket model. The exact date and format of the Playoffs stage is yet to be announced, by we assume this will follow the current system and rules.
Participating Teams
After completing Season 15, Team Liquid PH and ONIC Philippines joined MSC 2025, and the former became the champion. And now, these teams are back again to rock the stages, not with songs but with their precision-based attacks and strategic gameplay to crush the opponents.
There will be eight participating teams. Here’s a list of them:

- Team Falcons PH
- Team Liquid PH
- TNC Pro Team
- Twisted Minds PH
Prize Pool
A total of $150,000 will be given to the teams as per their ranking in the event. Ranks will be decided upon their performance. The winner will take the largest share, while the remaining amount will be divided accordingly. Here’s a breakdown of the prize pool:
