KRAFTON has announced a new esports initiative for the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) gaming community. Amidst the ongoing flagship event, Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2025, the announcement raised a lot of interest in the community.
Calling it a revolution, the company is encouraging every connected entity to step up and join the effort. KRAFTON is yet to release more information about the format or approach, or anything related to the endeavor.

The current surge in India’s BGMI premises has set a new hope for the organizer company, and so it decided to bring in another opportunity. But this time, the company is letting the opportunity be grabbed by third-party organizers. Thus, the company is calling out visionary bidders, from corporate giants and celebrities to sports legends and esports enthusiasts.
As KRAFTON is claiming, this new journey will be an iconic moment for the growth of esports in India, merging the country’s talent, community, and innovation in the same flavor.
The event will be more than a tournament of light, action, drama, and unforgettable moments. It will be the beginning of a long-term ecosystem for the country’s development into esports.
The event could be based on a franchise model, with bidders invited before July 4th
Esports viewership has grown by 400% and is projected to cross ₹1,100 crore in revenues by 2025. Thus, the possibility of a successful event is already created. So, KRAFTON is asking for an expression of interest before the 4th of July, 2025.
As the Indian esports community is still centered on its ecosystem within the country, the players and community get little chance to join the global scene. Though it is unknown when the doors for international competitions will open, the upcoming event will serve as a pioneering effort to do so.
