MOONTON Games announces that its massively popular MOBA title, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang or MLBB, is getting a premium animated series based on its ever-expanding universe. They’ve revealed a strategic partnership with The Little Black Book Studios (TLBBS) and acclaimed production house Base Media.
MLBB’s animated debut backed by award-winning creative powerhouse
What came as a surprise, MLBB is getting its animated series. The show will be produced by TLBBS, with Base Media handling animation and visual effects. Even better, Base’s same award-winning team behind Ne Zha 2, Wish Dragon, and various Marvel/Disney+ projects, is working on this series.
I’m excited to see how they bring the Land of Dawn’s iconic heroes, landscapes, and captivating lore to life. And it’s honestly great to see more mobile titles expanding their universes into animated series, like Honor of Kings: Destiny and Free Fire anime. I hope more titles follow this trend.
Industry veterans unite to bring MLBB’s universe to life
Chris Bremble, Founder and CEO of Base Media, shared his excitement, saying, “It’s been an exciting journey working with the MOONTON Games team, seeing their story process and plans for the MLBB universe.” He also described it as the kind of challenge his team actively seeks.
Even Ross Leo, the Co-Founder of TLBBS, described the series as their “most ambitious project to date.” And Cherry Xia, Head of Publishing at MOONTON Games, highlighted how this series marks a new venture for them in a “different entertainment platform to experience the MLBB universe.“
Alongside the series, the partnership also includes plans for a large-scale marketing campaign and official merchandise line, which I’m excited about. That said, we’ll have to wait for more details like series title, publishing platforms, and release date, which will be announced shortly.
